Fishing, Wishing and Whales
For Wyatt H., age 11, the ocean is a big deal, especially since he is from the high deserts of Albuquerque, New Mexico. When Wyatt was younger he saw a humpback whale on television and ever since he has been fascinated by the ocean. Wyatt knew that he wanted his Wish to be surrounded by the ocean- in hopes to see a whale in person and get in a little fishing. Hawaii had everything that Wyatt was looking for!
Hawaii was the perfect place for Wyatt’s Wish destination! He could explore all of the wonder of the ocean, see the wildlife and even partake in a little fishing. The adventure began on March 7thwhen his sister Morgan, his mother Ramona, father Robert and himself boarded a plane destined for the beach! Wyatt had a blast while he was on the Big Island, even though they had numerous rainstorms he and his family made the best of their Island experience!
Wyatt and his sister Morgan caught fish with the help of their trusty guides, the whole family took a submarine trip and saw under the sea, filled their bellies at an amazing luau and sailed the seas in quest of a whale sighting. The experience was exactly what Wyatt had in mind when he spoke with his volunteers about his Wish. It included everything that he wished for.
Wyatt’s Wish was generously sponsored by a JFC grant through the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of America.
